- ★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆I attempted to make an appointment with Mr. Butler after the death of my father for representation in Texas Probate court. I called on Friday when Mr. Butler does not have office hours to set up an appointment for the upcoming week. His paralegal, Laura, who was answering the phones that day, had *NO IDEA* what the term "Probate" meant, and didn't understand what I needed. The only thing she could identify with was the term "Will" and thought that my father needed a will done. It took a very long time and explaining to get it through to her that my father was dead, but she still didn't understand why I was calling, or what I needed. Since the Paralegal does the majority of the day-to-day tasks and probably all the paperwork in a case, I avoided the "free consultation", and went to another attorney that made me feel more comfortable that their team (attorney PLUS paralegals) had experience with this field of law. My suggestion would be that Mr. Butler either hire some sharper help, or have his help actually read through his own website (which was very helpful, by the way) to learn some Texas law basics, or remove "probate" from his website to prevent others from being disappointed and borderline offended.By A Google User, July 15, 2017
- ★ ★ ★ ★ ★We hired Ron Butler to file a Chapter 13 bankruptcy. He and Wendy, his paraleagal, made us feel comfortable and confident in our decision. In the end, he ended up somehow getting us a Chapter 7, which we did not qualify for. Now we can start over fresh without owing one penny to anyone. It is so liberating! My husband and I are so grateful for everything that his office has done for us.
